Beginner Photography Lessons
Do you love photography? Did you get a camera and have a hard time figuring it out? Would you love to be able to have a fun hobby, capturing your littles in their everyday life?

What’s Included in the lesson plan?
I. Camera Fundamentals & Basics
Getting to Know Your Camera: Buttons, dials, and menus; SD Card recomendations.
Camera Modes: Auto vs. Manual/Semi-Auto (P, A/Av, S/Tv).
File Formats: JPEG vs. RAW.
Focus: Autofocus modes and techniques for sharp images.
Camera Care: Changing lenses, formatting memory cards, battery care.
II. The Exposure Triangle (The Core)
ISO: Sensitivity to light (and noise/grain).
Aperture (f-stop): Controls light and depth of field (how much is in focus).
Shutter Speed: Controls light and motion (freezing or blurring movement).
III. Light & Color
Working with Light: Understanding natural light, shadows, and highlights.
White Balance: Setting color temperature for accurate colors.
IV. Composition & Seeing
Rule of Thirds: Placing subjects on intersecting lines for balance.
Leading Lines: Guiding the viewer's eye.
Foreground Interest: Adding depth.
Framing: Using elements in the scene to frame your subject.
V. Practical Application & Next Steps- Bring your own model & computer for these
Practice: Homework assignments (portraits, landscapes, motion).
Basic Editing: Cropping, adjusting brightness, contrast, and color.
Critique & Review: Learning to give and receive constructive feedback.
All classes are one on one and customized to your own personal needs. These are scheduled in the studio to start with the basics, and can be done in any other location after.
1 hour is $50, or one whole day (4-5 hours as needed) is $200
